I visited Lyngby once - used to know some people in
Argentinavej. I had to get out at a stop called
"Jaegersborg" ('scuse spelling). Nearly missed it,
cause the conductor said something like "yearsber",
and I was still processing that when the doors started
to close. Just twigged in time.
Anyway, the Stoustrup pronunciation guide was handy. I will
be able to pretend I know Danish at parties. I'll say
your name is a word, meaning, um, ... "train wheel",
or maybe "the smell of rain".
You see what you let yourself in for with a WWW page !
